HOFFMAN CHALLENGE 2010 FABRIC:

This year's challenge fabric is now available at the Needle. Turquoise and gold are the primary colors in the 2010 challenge fabric. You can enterin the following award categories:

This annual Needle in a Haystack event gives you a chance to sew new projects, UFOs, chat with other quilters, learn new techniques, and ask Cynthia questions. You can expect laughter, sewing, eating, ripping out, inspiration, door prizes, and more food. It is always fun to see what Ann Johnston put in last year's scrapbook; she has quite a collection!

The fun begins on Friday night with a potluck supper, so please bring your dish then. Fees for the weekend include 2 nights lodging and meals Saturday through Sunday lunch. Sleeping quarters options are the Arena House, TBarn or the Lodge. Fees for the Arena House are $140 per person, TBarn is $150 or the Lodge $175. THRIFTY 30s CLUB
4^th Sunday Each Month beginning February 28 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
$10 class per month + supplies (You receive three 30s fat quarters with this class cost.)
This club is perfect for adults learning how to sew, piece and quilt. Just imagine those 1930 reproduction fabrics with small figured prints and solid fabrics used in vintage projects. Projects will be made primarily during class time, but depending on sewing skills you may need to finish your project at home. Prior to the upcoming meeting their will be a supply list available for that month's project.

Home Decor

4^th Sunday Each Month beginning April 18 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

$10 class per month + supplies

Beautify your home making one of a kind items. Turn yourself into an interior designer using fabrics to make curtains, pillows, table runners, wall hangings, lap quilts, etc. for every room in your home. Supply lists are available before each class. Call 620-736-2942 to sign up and learn more about the Home Decor series.

Needle Turned Applique Class

Wednesday, June 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Needle turned appliqué is hand sewn using new techniques. Your block has a basket with flower and leaves using small print fabric and rickrack. Class fee is $10 and kit is $10. Teacher is Barbara Weintz, Bartlesville, OK.

Kids Classes

Great way for kids to learn how to sew or improve their sewing skills in June and July. Kids Kamp 1 & 2 is for 3^rd graders or older. Kamp 1 makes a pincushion and pillow case. Kamp 2 makes a tea towel apron and bag.

Once you have attended Kamp, you can attend Kids Quilt or SKamp. SKamp makes pajama pants and may be able to make a top or tote bag.

Class size is limited so enroll early. Each class meets three times for 1½ to 2 hours. There is a class fee plus supply kit price. Come by the shop or call 620-736-2942 for more details.

Design Your Own Class
If you have a two friends, sisters or family members who want their own special class, we will custom make a class, date and time just for you. Fun classes can include making aprons, tote bags/purses, table runners or easy quilt patterns.
