Needle in a
Haystack Class Policy
v Pre-registration is
required. Be sure in your registration
you include a contact number or email address.
v In order to reserve
your place in class, the class fee is due at the time of registration. If you call or email in your registration,
your place in class will be held for 4 days.
This allows enough time for your check to reach us or for you to make
credit card arrangements.
v Only paid students
may attend class. Please do not ask to
bring guests or your children to your class.
That is not fair to the other paying students, or the instructor.
v Supply lists are
available prior to class. Please pick up
at time of registration. Most can be
emailed, as well. In most cases, class
supplies purchased at Needle in a Haystack prior to or during class will earn
you a 10% discount.
v Basic sewing
supplies for most classes include thread, needles, pins, seam ripper, scissors,
as well as rotary cutter, mat and ruler.
v If trying to lug
your sewing machine to class seems too much to handle, there are at least 3 Elna sewing machines available for classroom use. Let us know prior to class that you need a
machine reserved in your name.
v Notification of
class cancellation by the student should happen no later than 5 days before the
class. No refund or credit will be given
past the 5-day warning period. Because we
generally have a 3 student minimum size, this policy is in fairness to the
teacher and the other students. (Perhaps
you can find a substitute to take
your place if you must cancel .)
v If the shop must cancel class then a refund of
credit will be given for the class.
v If the weather is
bad, please call ahead and verify that your class will be held. Your safety matters to us.
